3 WAYS ON HOW TO OWN YOUR MORNING!!!



Many people, including myself, struggle with getting up in the morning, especially when it comes to working out. You wake up and find yourself figuring out how to get 5,15,30 minutes of more sleep. To you it seems like you're going to be better off with a little more sleep, but the truth is that you're not really making that big of a difference. Truthfully, you're actually encouraging the habit of procrastination by doing so every time. I had to learn that the hard way.



However, here are some tips on how to get your ASS out of bed & OWN your morning!!!



1) Go to bed earlier.


  • I know it sounds cliche, but allowing yourself more sleep by going to bed earlier is much better than trying to push your day back further & further in the morning. Also, it makes getting up less difficult. Turn off the lights, dim your light on your phone & tv, & allow that sweet melatonin in your body to set in, making you sleepy.


2) Count down from 5 to 1 when the alarm sounds


  • Soon as the 1st alarm sounds, DO NOT hit snooze!!! Instead, count down to yourself, in your mind or out loud, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 -->GET YOUR ASS UP! As simple as it sounds, it has helped me tremendously, especially for those who, like myself, love a challenge. JUST TRY IT!


3) Have your workout clothes already prepared the night before


  • If it's convenient enough, you are more likely to follow through with whatever it is you are trying to do. That's just how we are. You wake up and see that your clothes are already prepared. Then, that is just one less thing you have to do. Besides, that's a HUGE TIMESAVER. I mean sometimes it takes me 15-20 mins just to find something to wear! Trust me this is a MAJOR GEM that I just dropped on you just now. TAKE HEED!!!
